Your private outdoor spa room

The 4×3m aluminium pergola defines the hot tub area as a dedicated outdoor room.

Adjustable roof louvres help you control sunlight and shelter, while pull-down blinds on three sides provide additional privacy from neighbouring properties and exposed garden boundaries.

Built-in LED roof lighting creates a warm evening atmosphere without relying on temporary lamps or trailing decorative lights.

As the temperature falls, the integrated heater helps keep the surrounding seating and changing area more comfortable, extending the hours in which the space can be enjoyed.

The Lay-Z-Spa San Francisco HydroJet Pro™

At the centre of the Signature package is the Lay-Z-Spa San Francisco EnergySense® Smart Luxe HydroJet Pro™, a large square inflatable hot tub designed to accommodate 5–7 adults.

Unlike a conventional inflatable spa with an open floor and rounded walls, the San Francisco incorporates defined seating positions, ergonomic loungers and targeted massage jets.

Its square shape also creates a more structured, architectural appearance beneath the pergola.

Integrated lounge-style seating

The San Francisco includes three ergonomic loungers and a long bench seat, allowing users to choose between reclining and more upright seating positions.

Each lounger incorporates targeted HydroJet™ nozzles, while five soft-touch padded pillows provide additional head and neck support.

The built-in seating means users do not need to sit directly on the base of the spa, helping create an experience closer to a permanent acrylic hot tub.

Dual HydroJet Pro™ massage system

The HydroJet Pro™ system combines two different forms of massage.

180 AirJet™ bubbles

A network of 180 AirJet™ outlets releases thousands of small bubbles around the spa, creating an all-surrounding massage across the floor and seating area.

10 directional HydroJets™

Ten water-powered HydroJets™ provide a stronger, more targeted massage.

The jets can be adjusted to direct the water flow towards particular areas of the body. The HydroJets™ and AirJets™ can be operated separately or together, allowing you to choose between a gentle bubble massage and a more intensive spa experience.

A designated foot-massage area provides additional stimulation beneath the water.

Water-powered spa lighting

Two ColorJet LED lights are built into the spa’s HydroJet™ system.

The lights are powered by the movement of water and provide seven colour options, creating additional atmosphere within the hot tub without requiring a separate electrical connection for the lights.

Combined with the pergola’s built-in roof lighting, they help give the spa room a more immersive evening appearance.

Smart Wi-Fi control

The San Francisco is compatible with the Lay-Z-Spa Wi-Fi app.

From a compatible phone, you can control key functions including:

This allows the spa to be prepared before you enter the garden rather than waiting beside the pump while the settings are adjusted.

EnergySense® thermal insulation

The San Francisco incorporates EnergySense® insulation within its TriTech® liner.

Lay-Z-Spa states that this integrated thermal layer makes the model up to 58% more energy efficient than a comparable regular inflatable hot tub by reducing heat loss through the walls.

An insulating inflatable lid and reinforced top cover provide further heat retention when the spa is not in use.

Actual electricity use and running costs will depend on factors including the outdoor temperature, selected water temperature, frequency of use, local electricity tariff and whether the spa is kept continuously heated.

Strong and stable construction

The spa is manufactured using reinforced TriTech® material and internal MaxHold™ fabric beams.

This construction is designed to maintain air pressure and structural stability while retaining the portability and relatively straightforward installation associated with an inflatable hot tub.

Freeze Shield™ technology can automatically activate heating in cold conditions to help prevent water in the pump and internal pipework from freezing.

The spa must still be operated, maintained and winterised in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

The package includes the Baridi by Dellonda DH13 drinks fridge, a black under-counter beverage cooler with a glass-front door.

Its 85-litre stated gross capacity provides approximately 80 litres of usable internal space, accommodating up to approximately 110 standard 330ml cans depending on the shelf arrangement and type of drinks stored.

Important fridge-positioning requirements

The Baridi DH13 manufacturer specification does not state that the appliance has an outdoor weatherproof or IP rating.

It should therefore be positioned in a dry, adequately ventilated and fully weather-protected location where it will not be exposed to:

• Rain or wind-driven moisture

• Hot-tub splashes

• Standing water

• Excessive condensation

• Direct intense sunlight

• Temperatures outside the manufacturer’s recommended operating conditions

A pergola with a louvred roof and side blinds should not automatically be treated as a fully enclosed or weatherproof room.

Depending on your garden and pergola layout, the fridge may need to be located inside the house, within a properly enclosed garden room or inside a suitably designed weather-protected cabinet that does not obstruct the appliance’s ventilation.

Upgraded outdoor sound

The Signature package includes the soundcore by Anker Boom 2 Plus, an upgraded portable outdoor Bluetooth speaker capable of delivering up to 140W maximum output with BassUp™ 2.0 activated.

Its four-driver configuration includes:

The stated 20-hour battery life is based on controlled use at approximately 50% volume with BassUp™ and the lighting effects switched off. Actual battery life will vary according to volume, audio content, lighting, equaliser settings and environmental conditions.

A compatible 30W charger can fully charge the speaker in approximately three hours. A wall charger is not included as standard with the speaker.

Using the speaker near the spa

The Boom 2 Plus has an IPX7 water-resistance rating and is designed to float if accidentally dropped into water.

However, it should not be intentionally used inside the hot tub or treated as permanently submersible.

Before use near water:

• Ensure the waterproof charging-port cover is fully closed

• Keep the speaker on a stable surface

• Do not charge the speaker beside the filled spa

• Do not handle charging cables with wet hands

• Allow the speaker and charging port to dry fully before connecting it to power

The finishing touches

Two bathrobes, two pairs of slippers and two bath towels are included to make the spa room feel ready from the first evening.

The memory-foam bath mat provides a softer surface when stepping out of the hot tub, while the freestanding robe stand keeps towels and robes conveniently within reach without requiring permanent wall fixings.

The bundle includes spa soft goods for two people. Additional robes, towels and slippers can be purchased separately when the hot tub will regularly be used by more guests.

Planning your space

Although the pergola has a nominal external footprint of 4×3m, the usable internal space will be reduced by:

• Required operating clearances

The San Francisco measures 230 × 230cm before the external pump is considered and approximately 293cm at its maximum overall width when the pump is attached.

You must also allow adequate room for:

• Entering and leaving the hot tub safely

• Accessing the pump and control panel

• Adjusting and servicing the HydroJets™

• Removing and replacing the spa cover

• Reaching the drain connection

• Cleaning and replacing filters

• Operating the pergola blinds

• Moving around the pergola posts

• Keeping electrical equipment safely separated from water

• Positioning and ventilating the drinks fridge

The final layout should be planned around the actual internal dimensions of the pergola rather than its nominal external size.

Base and load requirements

The hot tub must be installed on a completely level, stable and structurally suitable base.

The spa contains approximately 1,180 litres of water when filled. Once the weight of the spa, water and up to seven occupants is considered, the total supported load can exceed 1.5 tonnes.

The weight must be distributed across a base capable of safely supporting the filled spa without settlement, movement or distortion.

Grass, soil, loose gravel, uneven paving and inadequately rated decking are not suitable unless professionally prepared or assessed.

The pergola must also be correctly anchored to a suitable foundation in accordance with its installation and wind-loading requirements.

Electrical requirements

The hot tub, pergola heater, roof lighting and drinks fridge are mains-powered products.

They must be installed and operated in accordance with their respective manufacturer instructions and applicable UK electrical requirements.

Any new outdoor electrical supply, socket installation or fixed wiring should be completed by a competent electrician.

The electrical plan should consider:

• RCD protection

• Suitable outdoor-rated sockets

• Safe cable routing

• Separation distances from the hot tub

• Protection from rain and standing water

• The combined electrical demand of the hot tub, heater, lighting and fridge

The hot tub should be connected directly to a suitable RCD-protected UK supply. Extension leads should not be used unless expressly permitted by the manufacturer.

The rechargeable speaker should be charged in a suitable dry location away from the filled spa.

Installation

Installation is not included as standard unless specifically stated in your order.

The pergola will normally require:

• At least two capable adults

• A properly prepared base

• Appropriate tools

• Accurate measurement and levelling

• Secure mechanical fixing

The hot tub does not require permanent plumbing, but it must still be correctly positioned, inflated, filled and commissioned in accordance with the Lay-Z-Spa instructions.

Professional base preparation, pergola installation and electrical work are strongly recommended where suitable foundations and power supplies are not already available.

Delivery

We deliver across mainland UK. Estimated lead times will be confirmed during checkout or within your order confirmation.

As the bundle contains products from several manufacturers and product categories, it will arrive in more than one delivery. Individual components may:
