Your private outdoor spa lounge

The 4×3m aluminium pergola defines the spa area as a dedicated outdoor room rather than an overlooked section of patio.

Adjustable roof louvres help you manage light and shelter throughout the day. Pull-down blinds on three sides provide additional privacy and protection from exposed surroundings, while still allowing the front of the space to remain open and accessible.

As the evening cools, the integrated heater helps make the area more comfortable. Built-in LED roof lighting adds warm ambient illumination without requiring separate temporary lights or visible cables across the space.

The Lay-Z-Spa Helsinki Smart AirJet Plus™

At the centre of the Lifestyle package is the Lay-Z-Spa Helsinki Smart AirJet Plus™, a spacious round inflatable hot tub designed for 5–7 adults.

Its realistic Nordic wood-effect exterior gives it a more substantial and considered appearance than a conventional inflatable spa, helping it sit naturally within the aluminium pergola.

180 AirJet™ massage system

The Helsinki surrounds the seating area with 180 AirJet™ bubbles, delivering an all-round massage across the outer perimeter and centre of the spa floor.

The digital heater pump can heat, filter and operate the massage system, with water temperature adjustable up to 40°C.

Smart app control

Wi-Fi connectivity allows compatible spa functions to be managed through the Lay-Z-Spa app. You can prepare the spa remotely, adjust the temperature and control key settings from your phone.

FortiFiber™ drop-stitch construction

Unlike a traditional inflatable hot tub with thick rounded walls, the Helsinki uses rigid FortiFiber™ drop-stitch construction.

Thousands of internal fibres connect the inner and outer surfaces, creating thinner, firmer walls. This gives the spa a more structured appearance while providing a larger usable seating area within its overall footprint.

Designed for year-round flexibility

Freeze Shield™ technology can automatically activate the heating system during cold conditions to help prevent water within the pump and pipework from freezing.

An energy-saving timer, insulating inflatable lid and reinforced top cover help retain heat and reduce unnecessary heating when the spa is not in use.

The Helsinki measures approximately:

The supplied power cable is approximately seven metres long. The spa is designed for connection to a suitable standard UK electrical supply using its integrated RCD protection and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Chilled drinks within easy reach

The package includes the Baridi by Dellonda DH13 drinks fridge, a black under-counter beverage cooler with a glass-front door.

Its 85-litre stated capacity, approximately 80 litres of usable internal volume, provides space for up to approximately 110 standard 330ml cans, depending on the arrangement of drinks and shelves.

A minimum ventilation clearance must be maintained around the appliance. Dellonda recommends approximately 50mm behind the fridge and 30mm above and to either side.

Important fridge positioning

The Baridi DH13 is not sold as a weatherproof outdoor refrigerator.

It must be placed in a dry, properly sheltered position where it is protected from rain, wind-driven moisture, standing water, direct hot-tub splashes and extreme temperatures.

A pergola roof and blinds do not automatically create a fully weatherproof environment. Depending on your proposed layout, the fridge may need to be positioned inside the house, within a properly enclosed garden room or in another suitable protected location.

The appliance may not operate correctly when the ambient temperature falls below its cooling range. Please follow Dellonda’s installation, ventilation and environmental guidance before deciding where it will be used.

Music for the entire evening

The included soundcore by Anker Boom 2 is a portable outdoor Bluetooth speaker designed to provide powerful sound without requiring a permanent wired audio installation.

Its 2.1-channel system combines a racetrack subwoofer with two tweeters for deeper bass and clear high frequencies.

The stated 24-hour playback figure is based on controlled testing at 50% volume with BassUp™ and the lighting effects switched off. Actual battery life will vary according to volume, audio content, lighting and equaliser settings.

Although the speaker is water-resistant and floatable, it should not be deliberately placed inside the hot tub. Keep its charging cover correctly sealed during use, and do not charge or connect it to power close to the spa or while the unit is wet.

The finishing touches

The included soft furnishings help the space feel complete from the first evening.

Two bathrobes, two pairs of slippers and two bath towels provide the essentials for comfortable transitions between the house and the spa. A memory-foam bath mat gives you a softer place to step out, while the freestanding robe stand keeps towels and robes nearby without requiring permanent wall fixings.

The package is supplied with two coordinated sets of personal spa accessories. Additional robes, towels and slippers can be purchased separately when the space will regularly be used by more than two people.

Planning your space

Please check the available area carefully before ordering.

Although the pergola has a nominal external footprint of 4×3m, the usable internal area will be reduced by its posts, structural framework, blinds and any required installation clearances.

The Helsinki measures approximately 223cm at its widest point when the pump is attached. You must also allow sufficient room for:

• Accessing the heater pump and control panel

• Removing and replacing the hot tub cover

• Entering and leaving the spa safely

• Routine water treatment and filter maintenance

• Draining and cleaning the spa

• Operating the pergola blinds

• Access around the pergola posts

• Safe separation between water and electrical equipment

• Ventilation and access around the drinks fridge

The final arrangement will depend on the precise internal dimensions of the selected pergola and where its heater, power supply, posts and blind mechanisms are positioned.

Base and structural requirements

The hot tub must be placed on a solid, stable and completely level base capable of supporting the full weight of the filled spa and its occupants.

A filled Helsinki contains more than 1,100 litres of water before the weight of users and equipment is added. The supporting base must therefore be properly assessed and prepared.

Uneven paving, soft ground, grass, loose gravel and inadequately rated decking may not be suitable without remedial work.

The pergola must also be securely installed onto a suitable foundation in accordance with its manufacturer’s fixing requirements.

Electrical requirements

The hot tub, pergola lighting, heater and fridge are mains-powered appliances. They must be connected and used in accordance with their respective manufacturer instructions and applicable UK electrical requirements.

Any new outdoor sockets, fixed wiring or alterations should be completed by a competent electrician.

Particular care must be taken with:

• RCD protection

• Outdoor socket suitability

• Cable routing

• Electrical separation from the hot tub

• Protection from rain and standing water

• The combined electrical load of the equipment

The Lay-Z-Spa manufacturer advises connection to a suitable RCD-protected UK socket and advises against using an extension lead.

The soundcore Boom 2 is rechargeable and should be charged away from the hot tub in a suitable dry location.

Installation

Installation is not included as standard unless specifically stated in your order.

Our pergolas are supplied as self-assembly aluminium pergola kits. Assembly instructions are included, and the build normally takes two to three capable adults, with appropriate tools and a properly prepared base.

The Lay-Z-Spa does not require specialist plumbing, but it must still be positioned, filled, operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Professional installation and electrical preparation are strongly recommended where the proposed location does not already have a suitable foundation and compliant power supply.
