We recommend anchoring every freestanding pergola securely, and each design includes guidance for fixing to patios, decking or lawn. A well anchored frame handles blustery British weather far better.

Can I paint or stain my pergola a different colour?+

Wooden pergolas can be repainted or stained with a good quality exterior wood treatment once installed, so you are not locked into the original colour. Aluminium frames are powder coated and are best kept in their factory finish.

How do I choose the right size?+
